Anya
It was the end of another particularly dull day for Anya. She has successfully lost a kill which had taken her most of the afternoon to find to a group of young hyenas, how embarrassing. If her brothers had seen that they would have been rolling around on the floor for hours laughing at her. Hungry and frustrated Anya plodded lazily up the hill where she found a slow running stream and several rodents scurrying around in the grass. Rodents where far from cup of tea and she would have to be far hungrier than this to resort to eating one. Deciding that water was all she was going to get today, Anya trudged over to the streams edge and crouched down to lap it up slowly.
The sun was beginning to set bathing the planes below in an orangey light and the wildebeests grazing shadows danced slowly. All the lovely appetising young where tucked neatly in the centre of the heard where it was impossible for any lone cheetah to get at them. Anya glanced over at the rodents nearby, maybe it would have to be rat tonight. Aghh! This was frustrating a year ago Anya would never have imagined her self so easily aggravated but here se was getting angry just at the thought of eating rat. She let out a snort of disgust at the small creatures that seemed oblivious to her being there and looked out over the Plaines once more. Out there some where her brothers where probably tucking in to some freshly caught zebra probably not sparing a thought for her at all.
