Ryuk
The Mountain Climber
As a proud and defiant queen, my first reaction towards the stranger tom was to leap atop him and rip his ears off in return for his remark. My claws had just slithered out when the tom cat disappeared, his crude comment still lingering in the air like the tainted smell of blood. I bared my teeth and snarled loudly, letting him know in no uncertain terms that he was treading on thin ice. If he dared to put one paw wrong he would be for it, and in a big way.
I turned my attention back to Avian, my skin prickling slightly at the electricity in the air. Something had changed the moment I had uttered my comment, and I could feel the surprise and shook eminating from the tom cat. I grinned to myself, flicking back my ears and twisting my tail around my paws. I wondered how Avian would react. It had been a sort of tests, perhaps a little something else mixed in with it.
Affection? Adoration? Love? Lust?
I didn't know, but the very idea unnerved me. I had turned away from such things the moment I decided to leave my homeland and the cat whom I loved. I attempted to close off the part of my mind that was thinking such things, but it didn't work. It seemed my subconcious was not going to be kind.
I turned my gaze to face Avian. I could see the uncertainty reflected in his pale blue eyes, a dumbfounded tom who seemed unable to register just what I had said. For a moment pondered what he could see in my own bright yellow eyes, or whether he simply saw his own reflection. It was a curious thought.
Yet a second later, it vanishedin a cloud of powdered snow. Avian had taken a step foward, though to do what or for what reason I do not know, and had not been concentrating on where he had placed his paws. As a result, the large tom had slipped and fallen on his side, a cloud of mist surrounding him. I grinned wickedly. Perhaps I was evil to do so, and yet I inwardly smirked at his clumsiness.
Bodoh kucing! I laughed, stepping foward to prod the tom cat in the stomach with a paw. My gaze softened slightly as I stared at the fallen mute, and for a second I felt strangely protective. Yet in a flash it was gone, to be replaced once more with an enjoyment at such fun.
ooc: bodoh kuching = Stupid cat!
